An entrepreneurial spirit and passion for exquisite design, Kami has spent many years creating. The creation of The Brides of Oklahoma magazine grew naturally from her inspiration through planning her own wedding just short of two years ago. Her friend and business partner, Ashley, was planning her own wedding as well, and together, their dreams of having an Oklahoma wedding magazine showcasing weddings and the products and services of Oklahoma vendors quickly became a reality. A degreed graphic designer, Kami graduated from Oklahoma City University and worked for the University after graduation, handling a wide spectrum of design and marketing projects. No project has made her more proud, however, than The Brides of Oklahoma magazine. Together, Kami and Ashley, are teamed up now to give the Oklahoma bride a refreshing resource. A 270+ page magazine of highest quality with striking design, coupled with the power of The [B] Galleries -- an online compilation of Oklahoma weddings and vendors’ products and services.

A recent new bride herself, Ashley focuses her attention on managing the business, marketing and legal aspects of The Brides of Oklahoma magazine and The [B] Galleries. Looking to fill a noticeable void in Oklahoma’s wedding market, Ashley and Kami knew after embarking on their own wedding planning journey that Oklahoma needed a magazine that focused on Oklahoma weddings and Oklahoma’s top leading professionals that made those weddings a reality. Naturally, a powerful resource for the bride-to-be planning an Oklahoma wedding and a cherished keepsake for the bride featured, the magazine showcases everything Oklahoma weddings. A proud graduate of Oklahoma City University, Ashley spent the first years of her career as an attorney at Hall Estill, one of Oklahoma’s most prestigious law firms, where she handled a variety of litigation matters for clients in numerous fields of business. Her passion for the magazine drew her away from the daily practice of law, however, so that she could pursue this venture full time and work with her friend, business partner, and creative genius behind the magazine, Kami. Together, Ashley and Kami are prepped and ready to bring some new and much-needed attention to the Oklahoma wedding market and could not be more thrilled about their inaugural issue.

Alli Vaughan wished planning her wedding had been easier. If only The Brides of Oklahoma had come sooner. Not that she didn't LOVE her wedding...it was the most amazing night of her life. But trying to plan a wedding and graduate from college, it would have been nice to have such a helpful resource at her fingertips. Journalism has been Alli's passion since becoming involved with her high school newspaper. During her four years at Oklahoma State University, Alli spent many late nights in the newsroom of The Daily O'Collegian working on various aspects of the newspaper, including designing and editing. She is grateful she can use her love of editing and her degree in journalism and broadcasting to be part of a magazine that will help future brides like her. She has truly enjoyed reading and editing all of the beautiful love stories that fill these pages.
