coomments

gave Nectar, the High Fructose Health Food Fraud by Rami Nagel I googled Agave Nectar and was surprised at what I found, it appears that Agave Nectar is not as good for us as we are lead to believe? I am surprised that a well known chef as Gizzie would recommend it's use as an alternative if it is considered to be that bad! Any views!

Please don't advise the use of fructose instead of sucrose. There is research which shows it makes you gain more weight and gain it around the middle where it is most unhealthy. It also aggravates my heart arrhythmia and gives a lot of people digestive problems because fructose is not well absorbed by the human intestine unless accompanied by glucose as in sucrose. I believe I developed fructose malabsorption problems after over consumption of fruit smoothies.

Why on earth are we still promoting the message that fat is bad??? Just watched this programme, and the chef told the person to get rid of the coconut milk in her cooking, yet was still using white rice! This just doesn't make sense! Coconut contains a huge amount of nutrients, essential fats, MCTs, and white rice is basically sugar once it gets to the stomach. It's not all about calories. And apparently marshmallows are good as there's no fat in them, just egg white and sugar?! This is the reason people are so fat (apart from being lazy) - there's so much misinformation out there.
